About Boda Borg Karlskoga

Boda Borg Karlskoga is one of Sweden's most beloved indoor adventure houses – a giant building filled with so-called "quests": room-by-room challenges that test your brain, your teamwork and a touch of courage. There are no queues, no instructors guiding you – just you, your crew, a map of the castle and hours that fly by.

The castle holds around 30 different quests across several themes: space adventures, medieval mysteries, physical climbing tasks, balance challenges, dark mazes and tricky puzzles. Each quest consists of several rooms you have to clear in the right order – fail one and you start over from the very beginning. That's exactly what makes it so much fun: the laughter, the frustration and the rush of triumph when you finally crack that last door.

Boda Borg is perfect for families with children from about 7 years and up, groups of friends, stag and hen parties, kick-offs and corporate events. It's an activity where everyone contributes – the smallest in the group often spots the solution the adults miss, and the least sporty member gets their moment in the logic rooms. Count on 3–5 hours to enjoy a good selection of quests, though many guests stay the whole day.

On site there are changing rooms, a café with coffee, lighter lunches and drinks, plus the option to book conference rooms or packages including overnight stays at nearby hotels. Karlskoga is strategically located between Stockholm and Gothenburg, just under two hours from both – perfect for a weekend trip or a stop along the way. Many guests combine the visit with Alfred Nobel's home Björkborn, the Gustavsvik water park in Örebro, or a trip to the Karlskoga motor circuit.

Tip: book in advance, especially on weekends and during school holidays, as Boda Borg is often fully booked. Wear comfortable clothes you can move freely in and bring clean indoor shoes or socks. Don't forget your water bottle – you'll sweat more than you think. If you want more adventure, there are sister venues in Stockholm, Lindvallen and Skellefteå, among other places.
