A Journey Through Time in Dalarna
Amidst Dalarna's magnificent landscape, just a short detour from historic Vikmanshyttan, Gamla Magasinet in Norn emerges. This imposing building, with its robust timber logs and characteristic roof reaching for the sky, is a living link to the past. Erected as early as the beginning of the 18th century, the magazine played a central role for Norn's ironworks – once a flourishing hub that shaped the lives of generations. Within its thick walls, vital provisions such as grain and other necessities were secured, which were crucial for the ironworks' daily operations and for the communities that grew around its forges and blast furnaces.
