Värmland's Nature Trail for the Senses
Just over a mile southeast of Karlstad's city center, where the Klarälven river makes its final turns before meeting Lake Vänern, lies Tyrterrängen. Stepping onto the trails here means leaving the city's hustle and bustle behind to instead be embraced by the essence of Värmland in a compact form. It's a place where pine and spruce stand in dense symbiosis, where moss forms a green carpet over stones and roots, and where ancient rock outcrops suddenly break through the vegetation, offering unexpected, expansive views of the landscape.
